If you are using a Huawei device, be it a mobile or wearable, you may notice that your steps aren't syncing to Strove. If those activities aren't syncing, it likely means that your Huawei Health and Strava connection was unsuccessfully authenticated. In a case like this, you will need to make use of a third-party due to the fickle nature of Huawei's integrations.
For users with Huawei devices with HarmonyOS (Huawei phones newer than 2019), you will need to download the following:
HealthSync (which will be the connector between Huawei Health and Fitbit)
The Fitbit App (available on GBox or APKpure)
The Strove App
How to set up Health Sync:
Tap on the 'Settings' tab on the top right of the home screen in the Strove app.
Download the Health Sync app and the Fitbit app.
Open the Fitbit app and create an account
Open the Health Sync app
Select "Huawei Health" as the data source
Select "Fit" as the destination
You will then be prompted to confirm your Huawei Region ID. Select the region you are registering from.
Complete any other prompts mentioned by Health Sync to ensure successful syncing from Huawei Health to the Fitbit App
How to link to Strove:
Tap on the 'Settings' tab on the top right of the home screen in the Strove app.
Tap ‘Connected Apps’ and select the Fitbit slider
Tap the Connect button to allow Strove to access your activity data.
Sign in to the account associated with your Fitbit app.
Authorise/enable Strove to read all activity data.
Your accounts will now be linked, and your activities will sync to Strove automatically.
