Syncing activities on an Android phone

Strove has a variety of Connected Apps that can be used to record and sync your activities.

We recommend that users with Android phones connect to Google Fit. Linking to Google Fit will integrate your phone's built-in activity tracking and allow you to leverage Google's connected apps too.

Link Google Fit:

You can use Google Fit to record your steps and activities and sync your activities from your wearable device and/or 3rd-party activity trackers compatible with Google Fit.

What do you need?

  • The Strove app needs to be installed on your phone

  • The Google Fit app needs to be installed on your phone

  • The Health Connect app needs to be installed on your phone

Linking Google Fit to Strove:

  1. Tap on the 'Menu' on the top right of the home screen in the Strove app.

  2. Tap ‘Connected Apps’

  3. Tap 'Connect to Google Fit'

  4. Tap the link button and allow Strove to access your activity data

  5. Toggle the 'Allow all' switch to on

Linking Google Fit to Health Connect:

  1. Tap on the 'Menu' on the top right of the home screen in the Strove app.

  2. Tap ‘Connected Apps’

  3. Tap 'Health Connect'

  4. Tap 'App permissions'

  5. Tap 'Fit'

  6. Tap 'Set up'

  7. Toggle the 'Allow all' switch to on

Once you have allowed Google Fit to share data with Health Connect and Strove, your activities will sync automatically. If your activities are not syncing, check your Health Connect to make sure that all the necessary permissions have been turned on.

Please Note:

  • Activities that are manually added to Google Fit will not be synced to Strove.

  • You will need to occasionally open the Google Fit app to initiate the sync to and from Google Fit.

  • You may experience a delay of up to 24-hours when syncing between Google Fit and Strove.

Link Samsung Health

You can use Samsung Health to record your steps and sync your activities from your wearable device and/or 3rd-party activity trackers compatible with Samsung Health.

What do you need?

  • The Strove app needs to be installed on your phone

  • The Samsung Health app needs to be installed on your phone

  • The Health Connect app needs to be installed on your phone

Linking Samsung Health to Strove:

  1. Tap on the 'Menu' on the top right of the home screen in the Strove app.

  2. Tap ‘Connected Apps’

  3. Tap 'Connect to Samsung Health'

  4. Tap the link button and allow Strove to access your activity data

  5. Toggle the 'Allow all' switch to on

Linking Samsung Health to Health Connect:

  1. Tap on the 'Menu' on the top right of the home screen in the Strove app.

  2. Tap ‘Connected Apps’

  3. Tap 'Health Connect'

  4. Tap 'App permissions'

  5. Tap 'Samsung Health'

  6. Toggle the 'Allow all' switch to on

Once you have allowed Samsung Health to share data with Health Connect and Strove, your activities will sync automatically. If your activities are not syncing, check your Health Connect to make sure that all the necessary permissions have been turned on.

Please Note:

  • Activities that are manually added to Samsung Health will not be synced to Strove.

  • You may occasionally open the Samsung Health app to initiate the sync to and from Samsung Health.

  • You may experience a slight delay when syncing between Samsung Health and Strove

Link Strava:

  1. Tap on the 'Settings' tab on the top right of the home screen in the Strove app.

  2. Tap ‘Connected Apps’

  3. Tap the link button and allow strove to access your activity data.

  4. Sign in to the Strava account associated with your Strava app.

  5. Authorise/enable Strove to read your activity data.

  6. Your accounts will now be linked and your activities will sync to Strove automatically.
