To guide you through linking your smartwatch or fitness tracker to Strove using Health Connect.

Updated over a week ago

Requirements

  • Strove app installed on your phone

  • Health Connect app installed and updated

  • Your device’s companion health app (e.g., Mi Fitness, Zepp, Strava) installed and connected to your smartwatch

  • A stable internet connection

Steps to link your device

  1. Connect your device to its companion app

    • Open your device’s official app (e.g., Mi Fitness or Zepp) and ensure your smartwatch syncs data there.

  2. Enable sharing with Health Connect

    • In the device’s companion app, find the Data Sharing or Connected Apps section.

    • Enable permissions for Health Connect so your health data (steps, workouts, heart rate, etc.) can sync through.

  3. Link Health Connect to Strove

    • Open Strove → Settings > Connected Apps → select Health Connect.

    • Tap Connect and grant all necessary permissions.

    • Toggle Allow All to ensure Strove can read your activity data.

  4. Sync and verify your activities

    • After completing an activity, refresh Strove or check the Activity Sync page to confirm your data has synced.

    • If syncing delays occur, wait a few hours as Health Connect may take time to process new data.

Troubleshooting summary

If your activity doesn’t appear in Strove:

  • Check that Health Connect shows your recent activity data.

  • Verify that permissions for Strove are active in the Health Connect settings.

  • Ensure your wearable’s app is syncing to Health Connect (not just storing data locally).

  • Refresh your Strove app or reconnect Health Connect if needed.

Preventative tips

  • Avoid logging out of Strove or your companion health app.

  • Keep Health Connect’s background permissions enabled.

Periodically refresh Strove and your device’s app to confirm data flow.
