Overview
Strove doesn’t connect directly to the Polaroid Fit app. Instead, your Polaroid Fit data syncs through your phone’s health data system before reaching Strove:
On iPhone, this happens via Apple Health
On Android, this happens via Health Connect
Your Polaroid Fit data must appear in the appropriate health app first. Strove can only read what those apps record.
9.1. For iPhone users (via Apple Health)
Requirements
Polaroid Fit app installed and set up
Apple Health app (pre-installed on all iPhones)
Strove app installed and logged in
Steps to connect
Set up Polaroid Fit
Open the Polaroid Fit app and complete registration.
Go to the Me tab (bottom right).
Tap Apple Health.
Tap Turn On All → Allow to enable data sharing.
Connect Strove to Apple Health
Open the Strove app → Settings (top right) → Connected Apps.
Tap Apple Health → Connect.
Tap Turn On All → Allow to grant Strove access to your data.
Once connected, your activities recorded in Polaroid Fit will pass through Apple Health and appear in Strove.
Important note: Apple Health vs Fitness App
Apple’s Fitness app and Health app are separate systems that handle data differently.
For Strove to detect your workouts:
The data must appear in Apple Health, not only in the Fitness app.
The data flow is: Polaroid Fit → Apple Health → Strove, not via Fitness directly.
Some Apple Watch users may notice workouts appear in the Fitness app but not in Apple Health. In those cases, Strove won’t receive the data. Open Apple Health > Show All Data > Workouts to confirm your activities are properly logged there.
9.2. For Android users (via Health Connect)
Requirements
Polaroid Fit app installed and synced with your watch
Health Connect is installed and updated
Strove app installed and logged in
A stable internet connection
Steps to connect
Set up Polaroid Fit
Open the Polaroid Fit app and complete registration.
Go to the Me tab (bottom right).
Select Third-Party Access.
Choose Health Connect (or enable Data Sharing with Health Connect in app settings).
Grant all permissions for activity data sharing (steps, heart rate, workouts).
Note: If you don’t see the Health Connect option, update both the Polaroid Fit app and your Android OS.
Connect Health Connect to Strove
Open Strove → Settings → Connected Apps.
Tap Health Connect → Connect.
Grant all permissions (toggle Allow All) to let Strove read your data.
Verify sync
Open Health Connect to confirm Polaroid Fit data (steps, heart rate, workouts) appears there.
Then refresh Strove by pulling down on the home screen until you see the spinning arrow.
Troubleshooting summary
If your data doesn’t appear in Strove:
Confirm that Apple Health or Health Connect shows your data first.
Ensure Strove has active read permissions in those apps.
Refresh Strove and your companion app after syncing.
If delays occur, wait up to 24 hours. Some devices upload in batches.
Preventative tips
Keep Polaroid Fit, Health Connect or Apple Health, and Strove updated.
Don’t log out before syncing as unsynced data can be lost.
Verify permissions after updates or restarts.
Avoid force-closing apps right after workouts; let them finish syncing.
