Overview
Wahoo devices are designed for athletes focused on cycling, running, and endurance training. They record detailed performance data such as power, cadence, and heart rate. By connecting your Wahoo account to Strove, your completed workouts will automatically sync, ensuring your training effort translates into rewards.
Wahoo measures your performance; Strove rewards your progress.
How to Link Wahoo to Strove
Open the Strove app.
Tap the Settings icon (top-right of the home screen).
Select Connected Apps.
Tap Connect to Wahoo.
Tap the link button and sign in with your Wahoo account credentials.
When prompted, authorise Strove to access your activity data.
Once connected, your Wahoo-tracked activities will automatically sync to Strove.
Important Notes
Manually added activities in the Wahoo app will not sync to Strove as only workouts recorded through your Wahoo device are supported.
You may occasionally need to open the Wahoo app to trigger the upload of your latest workouts.
A short delay (up to one hour) between recording and seeing your activity in Strove is normal.
Wahoo activities must first sync to the Wahoo cloud before they can appear in Strove.
How Your Activities Sync
Data flows from your Wahoo device → Wahoo app → Wahoo Cloud → Strove.
Once your activity uploads successfully to Wahoo’s servers, Strove retrieves it automatically.
Strove analyses your workout’s duration, intensity, and heart rate to calculate your Strove Coins.
Only activities recorded within the last 7 days will appear in Strove. Older data cannot be imported retroactively.
Troubleshooting Wahoo Syncing
If your Wahoo activities aren’t appearing in Strove, try these steps:
Check Wahoo App Sync
Open the Wahoo app and confirm your latest workout appears there.
If not, manually sync your Wahoo device via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
Reauthorise the Connection
In Strove → Settings → Connected Apps, toggle Wahoo off and back on.
Log in again and reauthorise Strove’s access to your data.
Verify Permissions
Ensure Strove has permission to read your workout, heart rate, and calorie data.
Reconnecting the apps will refresh permissions automatically.
Update Both Apps
Make sure both Wahoo and Strove are updated to their latest versions via the App Store or Play Store.
Check Your Internet Connection
Confirm that your phone or Wahoo device is connected to the internet as activities won’t upload to Wahoo without an active connection.
Common Causes of Missing or Delayed Data
Your Wahoo device hasn’t synced to the Wahoo app yet.
The activity was manually added in Wahoo (unsupported).
Permissions between Wahoo and Strove have expired.
Wahoo’s cloud sync was interrupted due to poor connectivity.
If your activity doesn’t appear in Strove within 24 hours, contact Strove Support with:

Why Heart Rate Data Matters
Wahoo’s heart rate tracking provides the most accurate reflection of your workout intensity. Strove uses this data to calculate effort-based Strove Coins, ensuring your rewards accurately match your physical output.
Quick Tips for Reliable Syncing
Sync your Wahoo device after every workout to ensure data uploads.
Keep Bluetooth enabled while syncing.
Don’t log out of your Wahoo or Strove accounts.
Open both apps periodically to maintain background connection permissions.
Reconnect Wahoo in Strove if you’ve recently changed your Wahoo password or device.
