Troubleshooting Library & Mindful Minutes Issues

To help you resolve issues where Library content doesn’t play, mindful minutes don’t appear in your Dashboard, or Strove Coins don’t update after completing a meditation or sleep session.

Library content isn’t playing or won’t load

If your meditation, breathwork, or sleep content won’t start or gets stuck buffering, try the following:

1. Check Your Internet Connection

Library content streams via the app, so a weak or unstable connection may cause playback interruptions.

2. Update the Strove App

Outdated app versions may cause Library content to freeze or not load.

3. Fully Close and Reopen the App

This refreshes the Library and clears temporary playback glitches.

4. Restart Your Device

A simple reboot often resolves audio-loading issues on both iOS and Android. If the content still won’t play, contact Support with a screenshot and the episode name.

My Mindful Minutes didn’t sync to Strove

If you completed a meditation or mindfulness session but the minutes don’t show on your Dashboard, one of the following may be the cause.

1. Sleep Sounds Don’t Count Toward Mindful Minutes

Only Be Mindful sessions count. Sleep content does not earn Strove Coins, even though it plays from the same Library.

2. Your Session Was Under 10 Minutes

Only sessions 10 minutes or longer count toward streaks. However, mindful-minute points still award 1 coin per minute, even for shorter sessions. Check the Dashboard to confirm what was recorded.

3. You Already Earned a Higher Coin Activity That Day

For daily redeemable Coins, Strove awards the highest-earning activity only. If a workout earned more coins than your meditation session, only the workout will appear on the Rewards page.

Your mindful minutes will still count toward:

  • Leaderboards

  • Streak eligibility

  • Activity history

4. Third-Party Mindfulness Apps Didn’t Sync Correctly

If you used Calm, Headspace, Insight Timer, Breathwork, etc., your mindful minutes must appear first in:

  • Apple Health (iPhone)

  • Health Connect (Android)

If they never appeared there, Strove cannot import them.

Common causes:

  • The activity was manually added

  • Permissions were disabled

  • Syncing was delayed

  • The third-party app doesn’t export “mindfulness” data properly

5. Apple Health Data Only Appeared in the Fitness App

For iPhone users:

If your mindfulness session appears only in Fitness, but not in Apple Health, it will not sync to Strove. Confirm the session appears under:

Apple Health → Mindfulness → Show All Data

6. Permissions Were Turned Off or Reset

Ensure Strove has permission to read mindfulness data:

iPhone:

Apple Health → Apps → Strove → enable all toggles

Android:

Health Connect → App Permissions → Strove → enable all toggles

If permissions were disabled at any point during the activity, Strove cannot retroactively import that data.

My Mindful Minutes Synced, but My Streak Didn't Update

There are a few reasons this can occur, namely:

1. The Session Was Not Long Enough

To extend your streak:

  • You must complete 10 minutes of mindful activity,
    or

  • Reach 8,000+ steps

Mindful minutes shorter than 10 minutes won’t extend a streak.

2. Sync Delay

If your session synced after midnight local time, Strove may attribute it to the next day.

3. An Activity Was Missing Required Metadata

Some mindfulness apps send incomplete time or category data, causing Strove to skip them for streak tracking. If your Dashboard shows no points for the day, the streak won’t increase.

Why Didn't I Earn Strove Coins for My Mindful Minutes?

You might not see Strove Coins for mindful minutes if:

  • A higher-earning activity (e.g., a workout) happened on the same day

  • The session was manually added instead of being recorded

  • The third-party app didn’t sync

  • Sleep content was used instead of meditation

  • The session didn’t reach Apple Health / Health Connect

Remember:

Strove awards only one type of redeemable Coin activity per day, and whichever earns the most Coins.

Slow or Delayed Syncing

Mindfulness activities may take up to 24 hours to appear, depending on:

  • Apple Health processing delays

  • Health Connect background sync windows

  • Bluetooth or wearable sync timing

  • App permission refresh cycles

If the session appears in your connected app, it will show in Strove once the next sync occurs.

When to Contact Support

Reach out to Support if:

  • Your meditation shows in your connected app, but not in Strove after 24 hours

  • The Library doesn’t load even after restarting the app

  • Your streak didn’t update despite eligible sessions

  • Your mindful-minute points behave inconsistently

Include:

  • Screenshots of the session in the connected app

  • A screenshot of your Strove Dashboard

  • Device type (Apple / Android)

  • Connected apps used (Apple Health, Health Connect, Calm, etc.)

This allows Support to resolve the issue quickly.
